Cheshire Fire Fighters Respond to a Vehicle Fire on Interstate 84

On February 1, 2013 at 1:53 PM, Cheshire Fire Fighters were dispatched to Interstate 84 westbound between Exit 27-26 for a report of a vehicle on fire.
Upon arrival, Cheshire Engine 2 found a vehicle well-involved in fire. Fire Fighters immediately went to work and were able to rapidly extinguish the fire and place the incident under control within minutes.
Cheshire Fire Fighters were able to re-open the Interstate shortly thereafter and cleared the scene at 2:35 PM.

Connecticut State Police and Connecticut DOT for traffic control
Engine 2 Fire Fighters work to extinguish a vehicle fire in the westbound lanes of I-84 prior to Exit 26.
