8/7/2026-20:36hrs-298 Redwood Drive- The CFD was dispatched to a reported house fire with people inside searching for family members

On arrival of the Assistant Chief, he reported smoke showing and called a working fire. All occupants were also accounted for. Fire was reported in multiple locations on the exterior of the home and in the attic. Crews made their way to attic to search and extinguish the fire. 3 handlines were stretched to extinguish both the interior and exterior fires. Extensive overhaul was done to ensure the fire had not extended. It is believed the house was struck by lighting and is currently under investigation by the Cheshire Fire Marshal. No civilian or firefigher injuries were reported.
