This evening (12-24-20) at approximately 5:10pm, the Cheshire Fire Dept. was dispatched to a mutual aid call in the town of Prospect, at 101 Cheshire Rd(RT-68). The Prospect Fire Dept. was on scene with a working structure fire in a 4000 square foot maintenance garage. Car 1, Car 3, Engine 3 and Truck 1 responded from Cheshire. Truck 1 crews performed forcible entry on 2 overhead doors. Engine 3 crew secured gas to the structure and stood by as the RIT(Rapid Intervention Team). The fire was under control in about an hour.
