Cheshire Fire Department 2020 Gift Card and Food Drive
The CFD will hold a modified collection for Cheshire families in need this holiday season on Saturday, December 12th from 8:00 am till 2:00 pm in the Stop & Shop parking lot. This is our 6th annual event supporting the Town of Cheshire Human Services and the Cheshire Food Bank. In years past, we have collected toys, new clothing, and non perishable food. This year at the request of Cheshire Human Services, we will only be collecting gift cards and non perishable food items. COVID19 safety is paramount for the community and our members. Our collection this year will be 100% contactless. A driveby style mailbox will be set up for gift card collection and food donations can be dropped off in sanitized shopping carts lined with large collection bags.
The CFD and the Town of Cheshire are grateful for the support and generosity of our community over the past 5 collection events. With more families in greater need this year, we hope to have another successful collection day.
