On Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at 10:00 hours, Cheshire Fire Fighters were dispatched to Interstate 84 Eastbound for a report of a vehicle fire.

Upon arrival, Engine 2 found a single vehicle on I-84 east near Exit 27 with an active fire in the engine compartment area. Cheshire Fire Fighters immediately went to work in extinguishing the fire.

The Fire Marshal investigating the fire determined the fire was the result of a malfunctioning motor in the vehicle. Fire Fighters cleared the scene within one hour of the initial call.
