Memorial Day weekend was busy for Cheshire Fire Fighters. On Sunday, May 27th at approximately 2:30 AM, Cheshire Fire Fighters were dispatched to Interstate 84, near Exit 27 for a vehicle on fire. Upon arrival, CFD members found the vehicle fire was actually the result of a vehicle that had struck a bridge abutment and was now on fire. Fortunately, the occupants were able to free themselves from the burning vehicle, but all were transported to local Hospitals due to injuries sustained from the impact with the bridge. CFD personnel from Fire Headquarters quickly extinguished the fire.
