| First in a 3 part award, is the William Grove Firefighter of the year given by the Cheshire Rotary. The prestigious award is given in remembrance of Willy Grove, the only Cheshire firefighter to lose his life in the line of duty in 1975. (See past recipients) Ayotte will be honored later this year at the Aqua Turf by the Connecticut Firefighters Association and in Spring of 2027 at the Aria by the Cheshire Chamber of Commerce. |
