| F.D. was dispatched to a reported fire in the house at 272 Bates Drive. On the arrival of the Captain on scene, he reported heavy smoke from the house and fire from the rear and side of the home. One occupant was inside the home when the fire started, but was able to exit the house before FD arrival. An aggressive interior attack was made to quickly knock down the fire. The truck company arrived to ventilate the roof and attic just after the 1st engine. The 2nd due engine used a hydrant within 350feet for water supply. The occupant of the home was evaluated for minor smoke inhalation, but refused transport. E3, T1, E6, E4, C13, C4,C1,FMO responded. There was no firefighter injuries and the Fire Marshal is investigating the origin and cause. |
