9/6/2025- Earlier this evening, the CFD responded to a house that was struck by lightening

The strike significantly damaged the chimney and roof below. Crews checked the house and secured utilities. Luckily, the strike did not result in a fire. The falling chimney pieces put a hole through the roof. CFD crews placed a temporary patch over the hole to prevent water damage from the impending rain.
