The class officially graduated June 20th from the Wolcott State Fire Academy after completing over 300 hours of classroom and practical training. The class was a combined Firefighter 1 with Hazardous Materials (basic firefighter) and Firefighter 2 , which is more Indepth firefighting training that also includes incident command and rescue training. Martha was chosen as the class lead, which meant she handled any issues with the students or training and reported directly to the lead instructors. The class also included members from Wolcott, Southington, Harwinton and Terryville.
