The Cheshire Fire Department's Fire Marshal's office in conjunction with the CT Fire Marshal's Association have received a supply of batteries for smoke alarms and carbon monoxide alarms. With the change of time this weekend, we recommend changing your batteries. Both 9 volt and 10 year AA batteries are available for FREE. The Senior Center will be distributing them on a first come first served basis during normal business hours at 240 Maple Avenue (203 272 8286).

Reminders:

Test smoke alarm once a month
Replace smoke alarms that are older than 10 years old
Replace carbon monoxide alarms that are 5 to 10 years old
Develop a home escape plan and practice twice a year (see attached picture)
