Truck 1 Update - March 25, 2017

Attached are construction and progress photos as of 3/24/17 for the new Truck 1. Construction of the truck is nearly complete at Pierce Manufacturing in Appleton (WI) with a final completion date by the week of April 16th. The aerial ladder for the truck is in the process of being assembled during the upcoming week and should be mated to the vehicle during the next 7-10 days. The truck will then undergo final finish work and aerial ladder testing before being inspected by CFD Truck Committee Members.

The rear wall of the crew cab interior now has a metal peg board installed, which will help mount equipment inside the cab.

The aerial ladder was delivered from Kewaunee Fabrications in Kewaunee (WI) to Pierce's Aerial Assembly building in Appleton (WI).

Once the aerial ladder has been fully assembled, it will be mated onto the chassis and body of our truck and begin aerial ladder testing.
