June 13, 2011
On Friday, June 3, 2011 at 6:03 PM, Cheshire Fire Fighters were alerted for a residential structure fire at 105 Scenic Court. Fire Chief Jack Casner arrived and found a rapidly extending fire from the rear of a two-story residential structure.
Cheshire Fire Fighters immediately went to work in extinguishing the fire that had quickly consumed most of the rear-half and attic of the residence. Fire Fighters worked for over 2 hours in an aggressive attempt to prevent the fire's spread and save the remaining contents of the home.
Mutual aid from our neighboring towns of Wolcott and Prospect also assisted by providing Fire Station coverage and relief on scene. The fire is currently under investigation by the Cheshire Fire Marshal's Office.
